After kukenhoff we headed off to Harleem. This is the final destination of the flower parade.The procession comprises of 20 large floats and more than 30 decorated luxury cars. The Bollenstreek (bulb-growing area) Flower Parade is the first and biggest parade held in Holland every year, held at the end of April. 50 years ago, initiators of various small parades in the villages of the Bollenstreek decided to join forces and organize one big parade. Enormous floats and cars richly decorated with flowers drive along the 40 km route from Noordwijk to Haarlem.
